The Kaikoura Roots Festival is now established as the destination for
roots-minded music lovers and summer road-trippers. The festival features a contemporary
line up of original roots, reggae, dancehall, dub and jungle artists.

Kaikoura Seafest
Kaikoura's premier festival featuring wine and food from the region, Seafest is an annual
celebration of the abundance of the ocean and all it represents for the Kaikoura region.
The festival is a taste, sight and sound extravaganza for those who enjoy good food, good
company and a good time. An impressive variety of products offered, presented in many
weird and wonderfully creative ways - enjoyed with continuous live entertainment
throughout the day. The fine food, wines, and beverages featured are predominantly from
the local Kaikoura, Marlborough,
and North Canterbury regions.
Kaikoura Trotting Cup
Head to Kaikoura for a day of exciting racing by the sea, where a great social atmosphere
is guaranteed. The feature race of the day is the DB Draught Kaikoura Cup, with a
stake of $27,000. This is the last qualifying race for horses to enter the New Zealand
